Akira Kurosawa title design frames

For this project I was assigned to create frames for a title about Akira Kurosawa. Kurosawa was a famous Japanese filmmaker who created many groundbreaking methods for filmmakers today. Multiple of Kurosawa’s most famous works were done in black and white so I wanted to focus on this aspect for the title.

For production I used only my DSLR and lighting manipulated the way i thought fit best.

These frames opened my eyes to the capabilities of optical abstraction and photography within motion design.
